For 15 years, Arts Ed Newark (AEN) has worked to ensure that every child in Newark has access to high-quality, sequential arts education in school and out of school. Born from a collective vision of local arts educators and funders, AEN has become a citywide alliance of over 100 partners serving more than 40,000 Newark youth.
Through initiatives like SummerQUEST Arts, Arts Ambassadors, Healing Centered Engagement in the Arts workshops, and partnerships with entities like the Newark Board of Education, AEN continues to bridge that gap. Together, we are building an arts-rich ecosystem that uplifts youth, families, and schools.
But this year, federal cuts have threatened programs that our community depends on. Your investment can help sustain and expand this vital work. We can enhance our engagement efforts and ensure that more Newark children experience the joy, discipline, and healing power of the arts.
